Memory Project- Art Portfolio
The Memory Project (https://memoryproject.org/) is a non-profit organization that works with art educators and their students to create portraits of underprivileged children around the world. While creating their portraits of children from Columbia, the Art Portfolio students had the opportunity to incorporate any type of style along with any chosen medium. The goal here is to provide portraits to these children to help make them feel valued, appreciated and important. The process was highly rewarding for all of the Art Portfolio students and it provided them an opportunity to share a part of themselves, to show kindness and promote global awareness for the Memory Project (finished individual portraits are available to view on the Art Portfolio "Class" page). Here's the link for the video we received from the Memory Project documenting the process of the portraits being made and the children receiving them-vimeo.com/196463326/03e80d78f0. Enjoy!
DIGG's Student Art Show- Art 3 and Art Portfolio
Art 3 and Art Portfolio teamed up with DIGG's to create illustrations based on the theme "Love." The chosen "canvas" for this project was a skateboard blank. DIGG's (http://glendalediggs.com/) is a local real estate company that has a strong relationship with our community. DIGG's takes pride in not only how they personalize the work they provide for their clients, but also how they promote local artists. We feel fortunate, and honored, to have their support.
